No matter what your Monday morning routine looks like, work life balance is important to finding peace. If you’re anything like me, Monday mornings can sometimes feel like a whirlwind. So grab your coffee (or tea, or matcha latte – you do you!) and let’s dive in. By the way, if you’re interested in the Whistler Real Estate Market – let’s connect! This post is all about Morning Routines, Work Life Balance and Finding Peace. #1 Morning Routine: Get Outside and Soak Up the SunPicture this: it’s early Monday morning, the sun is just peeking over the horizon, and you’re taking a leisurely stroll with your furry friend by your side. Bliss, right? Well, according to the wise words of Andrew Huberman, Ph.D., soaking in that morning sunlight can do wonders for your mood and energy levels. So, within the first 15 minutes of waking up, step outside and let that sunshine work its magic. Whether it’s a quick 5-minute jaunt on clear days or a longer 20-30 minute stroll on overcast mornings, trust me, your mind and body will thank you for it.Living in Whistler, I’m lucky to have nature’s playground right in my backyard. With a world class skiing and pristine hiking trails just a stone’s throw away, starting my day with a breath of fresh mountain air sets the tone for positivity and productivity.#2 Work Life Balance: Celebrate Small Wins and Practice GratitudeNow, let’s talk about gratitude – the secret sauce to finding joy in the little things. Take a moment to reflect on yesterday’s victories, no matter how small they may seem. Maybe you aced that client meeting or received a heartwarming gesture from a friend. Acknowledge those wins and let them fuel your momentum for the day ahead. When life throws you a curveball. As I was basking in gratitude during my morning walk, a rather unexpected encounter threw a curveball my way – a friendly neighborhood dog decided to mark its territory on me! He literally peed on me! What the heck??! Talk about a wake-up call – Ha! But hey, life’s full of surprises, right? Instead of letting this mishap ruin my mood, I chose to laugh it off (and wash it off) and focus on the bigger picture. After all, what’s a little pee stain compared to the blessings that surround me?#3 Finding Peace: Embrace Peace and Let Go of the RestIn a world full of distractions and activity, it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos. But amidst the noise, remember to choose peace above all else. Whether it’s dealing with a quirky neighbor or navigating the ups and downs of small-town living, I’ve found its paramont to pick your battles. Life’s too short.I found this to be true over Christmas, when my Mom faced some health challenges. Full of life and the picture of health, she was unexpectedly diagnosed with lung cancer. Just like that, my world stopped. But after the initial shock and knowing she is in good hands getting the treatment she needs, I let the rest go. Finding peace and being peaceful for my Mom was (for me) the best way forward. Finding peace is paramount. So, as I walked back home with Winnie in tow, I made a conscious decision to let go of any lingering frustrations about my “ruff” start to the day. And the dog owner’s lack of apology? Water under the bridge. Life’s too short to dwell on minor inconveniences when living in Whistler, there’s so much to be thankful for.By the way, if you’re interested in the Whistler Real Estate Market – let’s connect! Conclusion:In the end, mastering the madness of Monday mornings boils down to one simple truth: it’s not about avoiding obstacles, but rather, how we choose to overcome them. So, let’s kickstart our week with a dose of sunshine, a sprinkle of gratitude, and a whole lot of peace. Here’s to embracing the chaos and finding joy in the journey.Until next time, keep shining bright! This post was all about Morning Routines, Work Life Balance and Finding Peace. I’m a Real Estate Advisor in Whistler, Canada with Engel & Volkers and I am passionate about helping people discover this magical place to holiday, live, or invest. I am a city girl at heart, and relocating to Whistler from Vancouver was a big step for me. But Whistler has it all – it’s a small town of only 14,000 full time residents, but what keeps it exciting is the international flow of visitors. Whistler hosts some of the biggest sporting festivals on the planet and was home to the 2010 Winter Olympics. It is a world-class destination with small town charm – and I love it! I’ve lived in Whistler since 2016, and the culture here is built around the incredible lifestyle of the great outdoors and so you can enjoy where you live & work.Watch my video to hear my relocation story to Whistler.
